Steyning: Art trail 2024

A year ago I arrived in Steyning, which I christened “Doll's House Town" because of its picturesque sights and cute little corners. It took me a few moments to realise that Steyning was real. Somehow frozen in time, it's the perfect refuge for a hermit like me.

At the entrance to the village, I glanced at a poster: “Steyning Arts Trail 2023”, it read. I remembered that my eyes refused to take their eyes off the poster, and every time I walked past it, the memory of it stayed in my head for hours, days and weeks.

Until one day, after taking a deep breath, I sent my application to the Steyning Arts Group, who kindly accepted it. And at our first meeting, their first item on the agenda was the question: “Who would like to take part in the Steyning Art Trails 2024?”

It's a dream come true for me. I never thought I would be exhibiting my work alongside professional artists, alongside people who have dedicated every waking hour of their lives to making art, being art and serving society through art.

And to end this love letter to my community, I would love to present you the map of the “Steyning Arts Trail 2024”, where my work will be exhibited in Hall 8
